The Morristown TN Cashmob hit up another fantastic local eatery again this weekend! The Cutting Board, loved by many and a secret to a few is located in the Ollie’s plaza on West Andrew Johnson Highway and serves up freshly made inspired recipes.
Owner, Brian Morgen opened the Cutting Board with the notion of offering Morristown not just delicious food, but creative recipes as well. Every ingredient is purchased locally and every dish is prepared from scratch with honest to goodness thought and skill put into it.
The interior style reminds me of an old school diner (note the checkerboard floor and bakery case!) Plenty of seating to go around, and a very comfortable spacious dining area. From larger parties to small intimate gatherings, there is a place for everyone.
The Cutting Board isn’t just about sandwiches, salads and lunch, they have exactly what your sweet tooth craves as well! They were featuring Chocolate Cream and Peanut Butter Pies on Saturday, which both looked absolutely amazing, but this crazy confection right here…..
THE HOLY ROLLER
A chocolate cream stuffed tortilla, deep fried with chocolate syrup and confectioners sugar on top.
That is what I call the Holy Grail of desserts!
With special treats like that out is no wonder the restaurant is decorated with trophies from the Taste Of Morristown competition. Well deserved, good job guys!
An art inspired local would not be the same without local art! One of my favorite things about The Cutting Board are the black and white photographs lining the walls, all taken in Downtown Morristown and the surrounding area.
